Sorry for late reply. Been out of country for a while. My question is really simple. If I force my 12 year old to play football and he gets his neck broken. He becomes a statistic. If two country hicks let their roosters duke it out in a private barn and a rooster gets his neck broken. They are arrested and charged as felons? One would think the government would have a greater compelling interest in my sons broken neck in public, verses a chickens neck in private. No problem with outlawing kitten stomping from me. Just can’t see the logic of a society that protects chickens from injury inevitable sports, yet celebrates injury pron sports involving juvenile children.

I feel this is the tip of the iceberg. I don’t care for dog or cockfighting. I do care for peoples rights. How do we celebrate and glorify injury inevitable sports involving juvenile children in public venues, yet have felony laws prohibiting injury inevitable sports involving animals on private property? Has someone burned the 14th amendments equal protection clause? Just a thought!
