A Chef cooksThis week we produced a new video for an exciting new company, The Fare Trade.

The FareTrade is a re-inspired “culinary members’ club” to connect the food community at large and strengthen the relationships between consumer, purveyor, and chef. Working with an ever-changing roster of the nation’s top up-and-coming chef talent to curate a monthly box of culinary treasures, the platform dually represents a national launching pad for small-batch artisans and a commune to share recipes and experiences while accessing stylized editorial content, exclusive chef/artisan opportunities, and more. The company’s slogan perhaps best sums up their mission: “The Craveable Life: Available Now.”

Videos on the best local ingredients and products from Charleston, SCWithin a month or so they will feature Chef Jeremiah Bacon, of The Macintosh in Charleston, SC as a featured artist who will be sharing recipes and insights on local flavors and products.

I won't spill the beans on what Chef made, but I will say that our crew walked away full, and satisfied. The dishes were beautiful and it is always inspiring to dig into the mind of someone who has a mastery of their craft yet remains open to new interpretations and experimentation. That is why I love holding a camera - it has been a ticket to meeting and speaking with people from every walk of life, an instant-in to experience and share a snapshot of life itself.
