This past weekend we were at Charleston Wine + Food Festival, with Chefs Sean Brock (Husk, McCrady’s) and Michael Hudman, (Hog & Hominy, Andrew Michael italian Kitchen, Porcellino’s Craft Butcher) shooting some content for Williams Sonoma. Brock was signing and talking about his new cookbook “Heritage”, of which I purchased for my folks for the Holidays. It is a beautiful book, full of heart and history, celebrating the narrative of what Lowcountry cooking and cuisine is, telling a story that continues to inspire. Here is a short clip:

Congrats to both Sean and Michael for the 2015 James Beard nominations! Sean won the James Beard Award for Best Chef, Southeast, in 2010; he was a finalist for Outstanding Chef in 2013 and 2014. His TV resume includes Iron Chef America and hosting season 2 of The Mind of a Chef, for which he has been nominated for an Emmy Award. No big deal!
